One night, can’t remember when, I went to grab a beer from the fridge. This has turned into quite the chore as of late. I have a bunch of beers in there but some are great summer beers that I want to drink outside in the sun, some are scary IPAs that I’m holding off on, and some are lined up for multiple beer nights (themes like Italian night, stout night, Sam Adams day). So the days that I want just one beer, I end up sitting there, trying to figure out what I want to drink.
This night, I wanted something light, so I looked at the pile of randoms for a 4% beer. This is the first one I found that fit that extensive criteria. Its a Wellington beer, and their others are pretty good, so I wasn’t expecting an over the moon moment.
What I got was an amber tasting, malty 4% beer that drank like a thick lager. It wasn’t horrible, but it left a sour taste in my mouth, and that’s not what I was looking for that evening.
