A friend from Mark’s work was going to Iceland (why, we don’t know) and the first thing Mark said was “can you bring me back some beer?” He did, a 5 pack of Icelandic brews. What better way to celebrate coming home to snow than with a beer from Iceland?
The first one we grabbed was Thule Light, which rang in at 2.25%. It poured out golden yellow with the smallest of heads. It smelled like sweet biscuits and heavy hops. It was the strangest combination of smells. The taste, though, was great. It tasted like a light Euro lager. It had more punch to it than the 2.25% would make you believe though. I was impressed. Not a beer that would encourage me to visit Iceland, though.
Now if The Sugercubes ever get back together……different story!
