One of the guys I work with knows the guys who make this. They used to golf all the time and they still talk all the time. He told me about it and I said that I would keep an eye out for it and tell the wife to grab one if she sees it.
One of the last nights we had soccer on a Thursday night, I just happened to see a white van with the Triple Bogey logo (which is brilliant) on the side, drive away from the LCBO across the street from the field. I knew where I was going when the game was over.
After the game, I dragged the entire family over to the LCBO. I went inside and grabbed a few things, but couldn’t see Triple Bogey. I asked the guy at the front about it and he said “Oh ya, they were just here. Let me look.” He went into the back and came back out with two cans. “They aren’t even on the shelf yet, lucky you.” Ya, I’m that awesome.
The weekend that the wife left me alone with 4 kids for 3 days, I had Mark over for movies, wings and beer, sans children. I made sure that this was the first one we had. We drank them right from the can. It was amazing. Smooth, light and very refreshing. I could totally see myself having a few of these on the 19th hole on a Sunday.
It didn’t have any of the usual lager tartness, instead, there was a slight fruitiness. Definitely a Top 10 contender.
Rumour has it that they are releasing a curling themed beer called Hurry Hard in the winter. I will drink that too.
