Jackie was over and we had just shared a Kåååd, which she enjoyed a lot, so I thought we should keep the hop train rolling with this guy. The label reamed off a whole slew of flowers that the beer should taste like, so this could get interesting.
It poured out clear yellow and smelled of spices and grapefruit. There were a ton of bits floating around in there. The first sip was great; a little grapefruit, a little orange and a little malt. As I drank more (and ate breakfast for dinner at 10 pm!!!) it got smoother.
Even though there were floaties, which usually indicates a strong beer, this wasn’t harsh at all. It was pretty darn tasty! I could even taste all the flowers they said I would…..
or did I taste them because they told me I would?
