10.5%! That is the highest so far! I saw that on the list and I knew I just had to have it (Sorry Ben). In the glass, it was black. Cannot see through it. Must be malty!
Dr Ben tried it first, I was still on Sweetwater while I ate my fish n chips. His response to his tiny sip was “That’s interesting”. From a non-beer drinker, I wasn’t sure what to take from that. After I was done with Sweetwater, I jumped on in.
It had a bitter smell to it, which expected, but it tasted….different. It was malty, it was thick, but like other super strong beers that I’ve had, it was pleasant. It wasn’t harsh or alcoholy. It was pretty sweet, and you could really tastes the mix of fruits it was made with. It took while to drink because it tasted like medicine, kinda like Rawleigh Liniment. At the end of it, you could tell that you were drinking a 10% beer.
This is one of those beers that I had to try once, never to be looked at again.
