The 2nd beer of Rogue Day 2.0 is Irish Style Lager. I was not really sure what to expect with this. What exactly makes it Irish? The picture on the bottle had a nice looking old man smoking a pipe, which made me think it was going to be heavy.
This was quite light, and a little sour, I really enjoyed it. Sitting on the back deck at Ken’s house…with ZERO shade…it was getting a little warm, this beer was very drinkable and refreshing.
This day makes me feel like quoting the great George Peppard as his legendary character John ‘Hannibal’ Smith “I love it when a plan comes together”…Rogue Day 2.0 is perfect so far.
Whoever runs the Twitter at Rogue suggested this to be our second beer, so who are we to ignore that? It poured out golden yellow and smelled sweet. It tasted like the best lager I think I’ve ever had. It had a subtle sweetness to it that was followed by a sour booty. It was kinda complex when you think about it.
I really enjoyed this one.
