Yet another from that great kiwi brewery Renaissance. So far, their IPAs have been hit and miss, but this is a Renaissance Discovery American Pale Ale American IPA which is what most of the world makes now, so I’m excited for this one.
It had that great IPA look when I poured it out and it had that familiar IPA smell of citrus and pine. It tasted really good from the start with a slight bitter beer booty, but it was kinda flat. There were very few bubbles and no head when I poured it out. It probably could have done with either a) more carbonation or 2) less time on the shelf. The best before said November 20, so I figure it must be the first one.
Either way, it was better than some of their others.
