Here is another “beer in a box” the wife picked up. The artwork was beautiful and the raised silver lettering was fancy. Too bad what was in the bottle wasn’t as fancy.
The first time we tried a Radical Road beer, we almost died. It was super strong not good tasting. So when I saw that this beer was made by them too, I was a little put off. Already thinking that a beer is going to suck has one of to outcomes: 1) you are pleasantly surprised when it turns out to be good, or b) you were right, and it sucked!
This beer poured out cloudy yellow and had a sweet smell to it. My glass looked like there was a tornado swirling around with all the sediment. That was cool. Other than that, it’s a pretty run-of-the-mill Belgian ale. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but they spent extra money on packaging and the beer was nothing special.
