When the wife texted me after a recent trip to the LCBO, she mentioned she grabbed a Headstock Light and sent me a picture of it. The can doesn’t say light anywhere, so I thought that we were a victim of another beer that had a new can, like Amsterdam Blonde did to me last month. Turns out…Headstock Light is a real thing.
So, one night when we were sitting down to our thrice weekly pizza dinner, I wanted something hoppy, and thinking that Headstock was that way, their light would be close. Not so much. It smelled like nothing in the can and when I had my first sip, it tasted like a cold lager. Nothing really special at all.
Then, as I ate, it got warmer and the spice of the pizza changed he flavour. It became a lot more malty. Not what I was looking for but still pretty good.
