St Patrick’s day! Woo hoo! What better way to spend the day that used to mean drinking at 9 am when I was in school than shopping at Kohl’s with my family? It worked out alright, though. We had a whack of Kohl’s Kash to spend and everything was on sale still. We ended up spending $36 and saving $268! How does this place stay in business?
Anyway, that night, I had tickets to the Tampa Bay/Vancouver game and we were supposed to leave at 4 (for a 7:30 game that was 45 minutes away. Not my idea). I decided to grab a late lunch and a beer, just to say that I drank on St Patty’s day. I grabbed the first beer I saw that didn’t say Gnarly, and was less than 7%.
I had had two New Belgium beers already that week, and they were pretty good. This one I remember Mark having a while ago when we were at Toby Keith’s in Michigan. He liked it. It poured out a dark amber colour and smelled hoppy. The taste was amber like and IPA like, an Amber IPA?? That would be awesome. It was a little sweet, but the hops cut through it to balance it out nicely.
It did go down pretty quickly though. After all, we had to rush off to the game….and wait in line to get in since we were 2 hours early! Don’t get me started on the rest….
