Matt was over for his tri-monthly visit, and this time, he brought beer! He showed up with a few Stonewall Lights and the Mill Street Winter mixer pack. These will go well with the two (2) lasagnas we made (because Matt likes to eat).
We started with the Stonewalls while the kids ate theirs and ours heated up. Once those tiny little (but awesome) beers were gone, we cracked open the mixer. I had the Tankhouse and Matt had the Organic Lager. These lasted us until our food was ready, so when we sat down, I gave him 100th Meridian and I grabbed a Sidelaunch Pale.
When we were done, I grabbed him the Vanilla Porter, which blew up all over the place, and I opened A Winter’s Ale. It poured out brown and had a small head that smelled like spices and Christmas and….smoke? It had a very similar taste to Rickard’s Cardigan and their Nightmare on Mill Street. It started off like a brown ale and then as everything settled, you got a sweet, warm and spicy booty.
Makes you wonder if they just added some pumpkin spice to some left over Oktoberfest beer.
