It was the weekend of the Armstrong’s, apparently. We spent all night Friday with them and then they invited us over on Sunday. The kids were excited to go over since it was hot and they have a bigger pool than us.
David was feeling a little “off” because of some bad Domino’s wings (that’s like going to Burger King for a fish sandwich) so he wasn’t too into having beers, but I twisted his arm a little. He went inside and came out with a brown bottle that I had never seen before. It was a Maclean’s, from Hanover. I asked him who picked it up for him and he said it was from the LCBO. With a handwritten best before date? I don’t think so. I looked it up and yup, LCBO. At that point, he was visibly excited that he found a beer that I haven’t had!
We drank them right from the bottle at the side of the pool. It was smooth and bitter and had a slightly dry finish. I really enjoyed it. He really enjoyed it. It was a great beer.
A good way to start off a second day of drinking my face off with David.
