When the wife picked this one up, I was a little confused. Not good at the french, I didn’t see any words on the bottle I understood. I gathered that it was a hoppy beer from the name, but other than that, no clue.
I brought this out to share with David (officially a new player now) whew as he was over to pick up Ruby. I poured it out into two glasses and just looked at it and went, WOW! It was hazy yellow, which to me meant wheat beer. I smelled it and it was glorious! It had a fantastic mix of hops and wheat, both sweet, but in different ways. It tasted even better than it smelled. It was sweet but was balanced well with the hops.
David liked it too. So much so, that when my son was playing Roofball, it happened again; the ball knocked over a glass. Fortunately, this time it didn’t break, but David’s beer was all over the deck. Like a true Canadian, he immediately jumped out of the chair and tried to suck it up off the deck and save it. It didn’t work out so well.
If I didn’t like it so much, I would have shared mine with him. He did get to finish one a few weeks later when we were are their place…out of a glass.
