This is the third beer from the Fathers pack from PEI Brewing. Jackie and I shared the other two with long names (1, 2) but these sounded more interesting, so I held them back to drink myself. Selfish, I know.
I had made a huge amount of taco meat because the in-laws were coming over, so I knew I needed something a little light and a little sweet to combat the spice. I grabbed the honey wheat.
It poured out hazy dark yellow and frothed up a huge head! It smelled like honey and beer. It was actually a great smell. It tasted like a dry ale with a lot of honey. Probably a little too much. After a while, the sweetness was the only thing I could taste…it even overpowered my tacos.
Which, I guess, is why I picked it in the first place….
