The second “beer” from the Historic Beers of Scotland pack, and this one was just as bad. Not bad like the kids say, bad as in disgusting.
Just a month ago, we had an elderberry beer that tasted like elderberries (my favourite jam). So one would think that all elderberry beers would taste like elderberries. This beer poured out yellow, smelled like nothing and tasted like nothing. It tasted like beer, sure, but that’s it. If I were blindfolded and you gave me this, Blue and Canadian, I couldn’t tell you which was made with elderberries.
In case you weren’t counting, I used the word elderberry 6 times in this post. Well, 7 now.
