Emocionante! We’ve finally made it to South America! And starting us off the the great nation of Columbia; home of fine coffee and cocaine.
When I was in Florida I went to Total Wine specifically to pick up South American beer, since there in no place anywhere near me that sells it. I managed to get almost the entire continent. Aguila is the 4th most popular beer in Latin America, according to this random website I found. Apparently they have much different tastes than we do, because there is nothing to this beer. It poured out very light yellow and then I looked at the bottle and realized it was 4%. Pretty light. At least it was a good palette cleanser between beers.
It was ok. The taste wasn’t “undelicious” (what? Not a word? I beg to differ Google Chrome!)
On a side note, I discovered that the next few posts are going to be exciting in terms of research. Turns out, pretty much all these “Latin American” beers like to advertise with bikinis.
