So here it is, the last review of the taster pack from Boréale. And it’s not a good one.
I saved their blanche for last because I love wheat beers, especially ones on lees (yeast still in it). This beer claimed to be made that way, recommending that you “gently tip the bottle upside down before drinking”. So I did, and you know what I saw on the bottom of the bottle? Nothing. Do that with a Hoegaarden and you see sediment, same with Blanche de Chambly, and (FFS) Rickard’s White! This beer, nothing. It was not a good sign.
Smell test: Interesting. It kind of smelled like wheat beer, I guess.
Taste test: Dear lord, what the hell was that? You call that beer? All I could taste was ginger, as if they rubbed it all over the cap before putting it on. I’ve never had ginger beer before but I’m sure it will taste better than this shit!
