We are starting to run out of things to say about stouts! This one was made at the Black Creek Pioneer Village, where they make it the old fashioned way (technically made by Trafalgar Ales and Meads). We’ve had a few others from them, and they are good, mainly because you know how they are made.
This stout was by far they stoutiest stout we had all day. It poured out black. Like cannot see through it black. It had a great smokey smell, but at the end you could smell dirt. Very confused, we took a sip. It had a real earthy flavour to it, kinda like dirt but in a good way.
It took a little longer to drink this one because it seemed heavier than the others. It wasn’t, of course, but we’d been drinking stouts all day…….
