It was a long day of disappointments (Waterloo Grapefruit Radler, DAB Maibock and the service at Swiss Chalet) and if I was going to stay awake long enough to watch a show, I needed a beer that would keep me interested. I hoped this would be it.
I opened it up and there was no “pfft!” I poured it out and there was no head. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be like that, but it looked like it was flat. It at least smelled good, like lemons and brown. The first few sips were nice with a subtle lemon twist in a brown ale. As it warmed, however, it started to taste more like it looked, flat. At that point, it resembled Lemon Tea beer more. In fact, a lot of the comments on Untappd were directed at them ripping off Mill Streets idea/recipe. The two are nothing alike, except they have lemon in them.
Still, not exactly refreshing, but good nonetheless.
