Here we go again. Another Beau’s All Natural. You’d think that they have some kind of kickback deal going with the LCBO to get all of their beers in the stores. Either way, the wife bought it, so I have to drink it.
This one said that it was spiced bock, both of which I’m OK with. We decided to drink this one with dinner, which happened to be subs. No in hindsight, that was not the best pairing in the world, since the Beau’s website suggests things like baked brie.
It poured out an orangey amber and smelled like peppermint, oranges and other spices. It smelled pretty damn good. It tasted otherwise. It was spicy, but heavy and I didn’t get enough of the citrus from the orange and juniper and only a slight hint of mint. But then again, I was eating subs and that may have made a difference.
I’ll wait until next year and if the wife forgets that I’ve already had it, try it again…this time by itself.
