This is the last beer in the awesomer-than-last-year Beau’s Oktoberfest pack. All three of the other ones (Happy Pilsner, Rauchstack and Dial Z) have been decent, if not good. Huge improvement over last year for sure.
I saved this one for last since it was the biggest of the bunch and you really have to be in the mood for a dark beer like this. It poured out black and had a nice chocolate-brown head on it. It smelled like a regular lager with nothing specific. The taste was like roasted malts and bitter hops. It was a pure schwartzbier and, for 7.3%, wasn’t actually boozy.
Not the best of the pack, but all in all, a very god beer. Extra points for the Spaceballs reference.
