I LOVE CASCADE HOPS! Oh man, was that a good beer. The wife picked up each of the Keith’s Hops series (Hallertauer being the other). Hallertauer was a bitter, hoppy beer, kinda the opposite end of the spectrum from Cascade.
Mark and Julie were over for dinner and drinks, on a Wednesday (which hurt Thursday BTW) and as I was Q-ing up some burgs, Mark and I cracked one open. Right from the start, you could smell the floral and citrus of the hop. The first few sips were heavenly. So smooth, no bitter beer booty, strong finish.
At first, Mark didn’t know what beer I handed him, he was distracted by his 2 week old. But after a few sips, he was in love with it. I think I’ve turned another person onto hoppy beers!
Remote comments from Warren: Its a good beer. Very smooth and mild. It’s a great beer to introduce people to hoppy beers.
